This application has been used by many trojans for malicious purposes, where files are renamed to try to fool people into thinking that they are Windows system files. The Serv-U FTP daemon is a popular commercial FTP server. I really don't want to set up another ftp server or buy/get another antivirus. Has anyone else had this problem, or know a work around?įile: C:\Program Files\Serv-U\ServUDaemon.exeĪction taken: Clean failed : Quarantine failed : Access deniedĪny assitance would be much appreciated. I'm using the newest virus definitions, and I think that's the problem, as it wasn't saying it was a trojan yesterday. So, I download it fresh off of serv-u's website. As soon as it copies that file, the antivirus pops up again and says it's a virus. While freaking out, I decided to reinstall the ftp server. So i thought, maybe somehow this got infected with a trojan. The infected file was the Serv-U ftp executable. For some reason when i woke up this morning my Symantec Corporate Antivirus popped and said I had a trojan.
